About Jeff

I’m a digital marketing and social media consultant living in Chicago. In that role, I’ve had the privilege to work on numerous projects involving SEO, SEM, usability consulting, web development, social media strategies, database management, application development, online advertising, and email marketing. Whew! I’ve been working on or with computers since the 2nd grade when I began working with a PET computer.

What part do you like best?
If I had to pick one aspect that I enjoy the best about the web is its’ fluidity and innovation. It’s always changing and evolving. It’s never static or stagnant. The one thing I worry about in my jobs and in the tech industry is becoming outmoded. I never want to become “the server guy” or “the web guy”. I want to be on the bleeding edge of the tech industry, constantly learning and updating my skill set to be the best and most knowledgeable guy in the room for everything related to the web (and if I’m not, I’ll find the person who is and learn from them).

Do you do anything besides talk about the web? Geez!
Of course I do! Along with studying technology, I also love a good game of Racquetball, Foosball, Connect Four, riding my bike through the city, and juggling.

Cooking is my other love in life. It’s so exact and inexact at the same time. I make a mean chili, risoto, gazpacho, meatloaf, mac and cheese, goat cheese and bbq chicken pizza, and lots of other stuff. Shoot me a line for any recipes or send me yours.
